　　中新網8月20日電 據美國《僑報》報道，中國人是否早于哥倫布1000年發現美洲大陸？一直是目前史學界爭論的話題。做為美國通往亞洲的門戶，華盛頓州一直是歷史學家和社會工作者關注的地區。在華州沿海的一些島嶼和陸地，則出現了中國人在公元五世紀來訪的記載，位於西雅圖以北60英裡的薩米什島(Samish Island)就是其中之一。

　　薩米什島環境優美，在歐洲征服者到來之前，有數量衆多的美洲土著印第安人在此漁獵生活。海外中華同學會創始人兼會長周寶生(Peterson Zhou)一直在當地研究中國海外移民歷史，面對記者，他首先拿出薩米什縣誌說：“這是美國出版的縣誌，完全具有說服力。”

　　根據薩米什縣誌的記載，大約在公元458年，一位名叫慧深(HwuiShan)的中國佛教傳教士就曾踏上薩米什島的海灘。慧深有可能是通過航海到達美洲，並記錄了北美洲西海岸的的見聞，針對當地植物、土著生活、圖騰、食品等情況都有詳細的記載。慧深還向南到達墨西哥，在那裏居住數年。慧深最終返回中國，並向當時南北朝時期的齊國國君彙報了自己的所見所聞。

　　周寶生介紹說，如果單單看這些文字就已經很驚奇，但當他做了一些歷史研究之後，發現這個記載完全有可能是事實。也就是說，中國人有可能早在哥倫布1000前就發現了美洲。他說：“中國的《梁書》中對慧深的美洲之行也有相同的記載，而且十分詳細。根據史書記載和美洲當地考古發現，中國人的海外發展歷史甚至可以追溯到3000年前。”

　　他表示，在美洲大陸的許多考古發現，暗示了早在3000年以前，中國文化就開始傳入美洲並被當地印第安人所接納。周寶生說：“一些在美洲出土的石茅、圖騰，包括音樂和文字，都和中國商周時期文化相似。例如印第安人也喜歡笛子這種樂器，而且採用和中國一樣的五個音階，和西方人的7個音階大不相同。一些刻在岩洞牆壁上的文字與中國的甲骨文也極為相似。”

　　周寶生還指出，3000年前正是中國的周朝時期，當時周武王打敗了商朝，許多商朝民衆被迫遷徙。《山海經》中曾經記錄過一個叫“扶桑”的國家，部分歷史學家認為該國的位置大概位於北起阿拉斯加，南到墨西哥的美洲西海岸某個區域。“扶桑”與古漢語“復商”諧音，暗含恢復商朝之意。3000多年前，航海技術還達不到遠洋航行的水平，但當時美洲大陸與亞洲大陸在白令海峽處相連，遠距離遷徙完全有可能。

　　最讓人驚嘆的是，如今居住在薩米什島的印第安土著居然有人沿用周姓(Chou)和柯姓(Ket)等中國姓氏。在白人開發西部的歷史中，代表薩米什印第安部落與美國聯邦政府達成諒解協議的就是一位姓周的部落頭領。

　　周寶生說：“在豐富的歷史資料和考古發現面前，我們完全有理由相信中國人或中國文化早在3000年前就在美洲大陸扎根，而且傳播深遠，這一課題也是我們這些海外華人學者研究的一個重要方向，也是歷史使命。”(王曉達)
